We were thrilled to photograph Shanna and Colby’s beautiful wedding celebration this past weekend. The Mill City Museum is one of the most incredible locations for a Minneapolis wedding. Michelle and Nick will be getting married this Fall at the beautiful Calhoun Beach Club. We can’t wait to see them celebrate their marriage with their friends and family in this stunning location. We had so much fun photographing their Fall engagement session at one of Minneapolis’ great parks. Michelle and Nick are great together; they know each other so well, how to make each other laugh, and they know what matters most. They have a sweet unspoken understanding of each other, which is so rare.

Southern weddings are full of heart and soul. We had already experienced this while photographing our previous Arkansas and Texas weddings. There is always a huge focus on family, and deep deep friendships throughout the celebration. Kate and Cooper’s wedding was no exception. This couple is so surrounded in genuine love, and it was really special to photograph the hugs and the tears, the laughter and hand holding, the toasts, and the dancing. It was a day overflowing with emotion and joy at the gorgeous Loft 1023 in downtown Little Rock!

We found this day to be especially emotional because as soon as Cooper married Kate (and snuck in a honeymoon to Nashville), he had to leave for basic training. Cooper is currently in training to serve in the United States Air Force. We want to thank him and Kate for the sacrifice to keep our country safe. Cooper is a humble and kind man, and the Air Force will be lucky to have him. Kate is full of energy and life, and completely supportive of Cooper and his dreams. Together, they make a beautiful, ambitious couple with a heart for following God and loving the people around them.

Kate and Cooper, we couldn’t imagine a more beautiful Little Rock wedding day. Your wedding was styled beautifully, but your love and commitment to one another speaks louder than anything. We are so happy for your upcoming reunion, and your future together serving in the Air Force, and living out life’s adventures.

We want to give a huge thank you and many hugs to the editors at The Knot who reached out us and asked for our advice when it comes to finding the perfect wedding photographer. We had many heartfelt paragraphs to share, with the hopes of educating brides, and this piece that ended up in print is a really great place to start.

To the newly engaged couple, we would tell you to consider the style of the photographer’s work, does it excite you? Consider how well you connect with the photographers on the phone or in person, since your photographers will be with you throughout the most emotional and beautiful moments of the best day of your life. You need to feel 100% comfortable with them, and love their work. Then, do your best to make a decision early on, since quality photographers book up quickly, sometimes seasons in advance.

In addition to the quote that was included in this issue, a little image from Kelsey and Nick’s wedding was printed with a sweet “Congratulations” and a head’s up that their wedding will be featured on theknot.com under the Twin Cities Real Weddings section of their website! Jennifer and Paul love the outdoors, weekends with the family at the cabin, and each other. We think their love for each other is pretty obvious and beautiful. They are so easy going together, and Jennifer never stops adorably laughing. We think that Paul brings out that happiness and joy in her, and we feel especially lucky to have photographed this happy engagement stage in their relationship.

Together, we wandered around beneath Theodore Wirth Park’s towering pines, feeling even more excited to celebrate and photograph their marriage this September! Congratulations Jennifer and Paul!

We loved photographing their winter session in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, so much. Sarah and Aaron are troopers! It was a chilly winter day, but we wouldn’t have traded this day for anything! We actually think that the pink noses only make Aaron and Sarah more endearing… if that is even possible. These two are the sweetest couple, and we are so lucky to be photographing their rustic barn wedding day in Wisconsin this coming August!!

Sarah was kind enough to show us around her parent’s DREAMY property out in the woods. They built this jaw-droppingly-gorgeous log cabin home a few years ago, and it holds a special place in all of her family’s hearts. The home is surrounded by towering pines, a little lake, and the most lovely snowy wooded driveway. It made for a peaceful day of making photos together. There is something so serene about a fresh snowfall, and the silence of nature in the winter that makes you want to grab a blanket, your best mittens, your best friend, and explore…

Dear Sarah, if this is how insanely pretty you look bundled up in a vest, we cannot even imagine how lovely you will look as a bride.

Kate and Cooper were recently married at the most beautiful urban Little Rock wedding venue, Loft 1023. We had caught a few glimpses of the DIY details that Kate had been working on during the months leading up to the wedding, so we were anticipating the final look of reception space. It was beyond our wildest dreams! Kate and Cooper were their usual adorable selves, and watching their whole wedding party (and every guest) shower them in love was really the most heart melting thing. They really do know how to do it right in the south!

Whenever we meet up with a Wisconsin couple, it feels like we just met up with a little piece of home. We have a lot of commonalities, usually overlapping values, a love for football, social drinks, and ultimately, we all value our relationships.

Meet Nadia and Brock. We are sure glad we did. It took about 35 seconds to figure out that we would naturally be friends. We share (the most incredible) mutual friends, and after a day spent together, they have us longing to get them in front of our cameras again. Do you know what we love about Nadia and Brock? We love that Nadia smiles every time she kisses him. Every single time. We think it’s adorable that they looked like they were equally crushing on one another during the whole session, and we love the way their love just feels like a safe place to curl up and stay. They are perfect together.
